Empower And Inspire The Next Gen Millennials

People who are emerging as entrepreneurs in India are on a rise. In the current trend it has definitely changed the way the whereabouts of businesses are conceived. However, a number of factors have brought about a sea change on how we imagine millennials and the way they conduct business.

A important aspect that young minds regardless of the gender, they represent more than half the country’s population. Nearly 60% have earned their undergraduate and master’s degrees, but represent a mere 5% of Fortune 500 CEOs. My responsibility as a business lead comes into action of bringing in fresh and down to earth approach of advocating a methodology focused on inspiring and retaining both talent and energy to drive great results at work.

Whilst at businesses, an increased determined people are excelling customer satisfaction upskills as they have brought in a trend by reflecting their style of work upon their experiences they play in real life. My role as an entrepreneur is to highly-regard them in the field of human performance by re-skilling their leadership potentials.

At our organization people are uniquely positioned to be able to address diversified trade snags since they have similar life experiences which feeds into the solution. This, in turn, gives me an edge over in rallying my people to excel and reach their efficacy by aiding them to step up to the challenges of the real business world.

Previously, when people faced an unmet need, they wouldn’t be able to resolve it due to lack of resources, both financial and material. However, it is not the same anymore. E-commerce portals, technological advancements and social media channels are making it easier for people to realise their dreams. With the minimal sphere of help we extend; people have higher disposable incomes and this is positively influencing their current lifestyle trend resulting in the right thrust.
Being a thoughtpreneur, my zest is to hoist human potential by making it easier for them to realise their dreams which went unaddressed.

Flexibility and new opportunities to expand people’s horizon at work are just some of the reasons why my people are willing to don the hat of being better individuals and giving the traditional career paths a miss.

An entrepreneur of a successful fashion retail brand named Aaboli, I’m also a woman who would like to live long enough to see us close the leadership gap. I have devoted my time to inspire people in business to challenge today’s certainties by consciously creating and cultivating awareness of coming changes and developing strategies to adapt quickly. I’d like to see more businesses investing serious time, personnel and resources into the development, engagement and empowerment of their future leaders.

A business lead but a coach by choice too and I’ve trained my focus on helping my people who are on a decisive crossroads and are committed to making the best next move. Most often, people know something has to change in their way of thinking, it’s critical to address this one thing before you make any moves: the way you are operating in the business world. There’s so much going wrong that it’s hard to identify one thing to address first.

When you get to ally your folks to help them strengthen and grow personally, you end up elevating yourself as a business lead by ensuring that the goal at trade is more satisfying and aligned with your values. The degree to which your people are able to grow and expand to operate at the highest level is what will ensure your business experiencing more reward and successes.

This strengthening process becomes a Herculean task when it involves addressing the damaging power gaps that keep people from thriving. Elevating people to the highest level involves honing the essential skills for successes in business. This involves strengthening the realization of the self-worth of your people and how they are perceived up in the world.

To help my people and budding leaders to approach this seemingly Herculean task, I’ve got a series of suggestions worth considering.

1.     Take time to develop talent.

Begin by funnelling through a well-orchestrated system for right hiring, onboarding, training, mentorship, people engagement and development. This helps in filling the pipeline toward developing leadership skills. At Aaboli, we instil great lengths to embrace intensive training and development right from the start.

Pair new employees with mentors who interact often to discuss career trajectories. Connect the enthusiasts to ongoing professional development resources and opportunities.  Allow them the time away from their daily jobs to leverage over the opportunities.

2. Engage people with fulfilling work.

While onboarding, training plays a vital role if not everyman’s time and hard work will go for a naught if your business fails to retain its talented employees.
Recent data shows that people are leaving the workforce at an alarming rate, and suggests that the factors contributing to this trend include frustration with promotion opportunities and unsatisfying work-life balance.

And when we lose individual’s mid-career, we lose their future potential as well. A person with fantastic growth opportunity – who may have someday been a contender for a C-suite role – will never reach that eventuality without being nurtured and engaged through this interim period of work life. This is why we must enact more flexibility and accommodating policies and programs for our working folks. If we don’t, we’ll continue losing them and all the benefits they would have brought in the future.

3. Empower and give that final push to your people to problem-solve.

If businesses are able to successfully hire, onboard and train, develop and retain talented people, there will likely still be a need for one final push into senior leadership opportunities.

From what I’ve seen, I can confidently say that senior executive positions don’t just happen to people – instead, those people are nurtured, sponsored and empowered to enter those roles. It’s a process that can take years, and it requires buy-in from the uppermost leaders within an organization.

When every company ally passionate people toward developing and retaining that’s when we’ll see measurable progress and equity at work. This issue will not simply solve by itself; we must wholeheartedly devote ourselves in working together to be the solution.

As an business lead my role resonates by being a usher to identify and reach out to our people in need.Though being rewarded with Mahanadi Savitri Award for excellence I feel brimmed with unswerving dedication to give my people a 10X pep together to build, trade insights and help each other to plunge to greater heights.

The go-getter in me have left with more stone unturned across the globe to empower young minds excel a mark in their respective fields. And I await them to become an inspiration for thousands around.

My yearn towards being a creative strategist in the truest sense. This gift of vision to me is an unnerving ability to recognize human potential by navigating them towards empowerment.
